About Michelle Lafreniere Counselling

I am passionate about helping my clients understand and regulate their emotions, set and maintain boundaries in all types of relationships, and deepen self-awareness to identify personal values and create balance in their lives. I work with people experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, and life transitions including navigating new parenthood and post-partum mental health.

I take a strengths-based, client-centered approach and work through a trauma-informed lens to collaborate with my clients in a way that allows them to safely expand their understanding of themselves and how their past experiences affect their current reality. I pull from a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, ART, and EMDR.

Getting Started
